Minor Aircraft Incident at Jackson Hole Aviation

At approximately 12:19 pm, the JAC Tower was notified by an aircraft that another aircraft nearby had an engine fire. Jackson Hole Aviation’s personnel responded and put out the fire with fire extinguishers.  Jackson Hole Airport’s Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting personnel were notified and responded as well. They stood by on scene to ensure that the fire did not reignite. After 45 minutes of surveillance the fire was consider dormant and the crew returned to the fire house. There were no injuries during this incident and airport operations were not interrupted.
