Jackson Hole Airport is Experiencing Delays and Cancellations

Airport staff is supporting private entities to keep flights safely operating at JAC

Jackson, Wyoming – The Jackson Hole Airport, along with many airports across the country is facing challenges with a variety of flight delays and cancellations. Airport staff is assisting the air carriers with extra support wherever possible to manage these issues to the best of their abilities. While runway maintenance and security screening are our main functions, airport staff has been stepping up and employing creative solutions to help the airlines with ground support, customer service, and many other functions across the facility.

As the nation faces winter weather, COVID-related staffing shortages and airline challenges, the Jackson Hole Airport continues to collectively work with our airline partners to keep flights safely arriving and departing at JAC. Over the past week, the Jackson Hole Airport has seen delays and cancellations due to local weather, weather in other cities, crew rest times, and other issues. Airport staff is in constant contact with our airline partners to address these issues and we are asking the traveling public to have extra patience during the busy holiday travel season.

“We will always support our local airlines in every way possible to ensure planes can safely arrive and depart at JAC. Collectively, the travel industry is experiencing many challenges and we are seeing those impacts at JAC. Safety remains our top priority as we assist our stakeholders in every way possible,” stated Jim Elwood, Executive Director.

The Airport is asking travelers to check their flight status before arriving at the airport two hours prior to scheduled departure times.

To check your flight status online, please visit the airline’s website directly or use www.jacksonholeairport.com.
