AIA Wyoming Chapter 2011 Award of Excellence
Jackson Hole Airport’s Architectural team has recently won the 2011 Award of Excellence from the AIA Wyoming Chapter for the Jackson Hole Airport Expansion
With this project, the Gensler/Carney Architects obtained approximately 110,000 square feet in a two phase expansion and renovation of the existing Jackson Hole Airport located in Grand Teton National Park. The project team made the new airport a model for environmental responsibility, with a LEED Silver rating. Various sustainable strategies and materials were incorporated, for example, low-flow pumping fixtures, regional and recycled materials and Forest Stewardship Council-certified timber. They were consulted by Wadman & Associates and delivered on budget and on time. Great job!
